Excelsior Springs, Mo:  Midwest Titans who finished with a overall 9-1 record and a 2010 Missouri Valley Division Title defeated their cross-town rivals KC panthers 24-13 this past Saturday night in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. The "Mighty Titans" jump out to a 12-0 lead only to have the much improved KC Panthers come roaring back to take a 12-13 lead over Titans going into the 4th quarter. With just minutes left in the game, Starting QB Eric Hoskins (Missouri Western University) found Starting Wideout Demond Berry (Central Missouri State University) streaking down the sideline for a beautiful 60 yard TD pass. The 2 point conversation was no good.  The Midwest Titans took back the lead 18-13 with 5:48 left in the game. The Panthers managed to move the ball all the way down to the Titans 40 yard line. With just 31 seconds left in the game, the KC Panthers were faced with 3 down and a bunch to go for the first down following a big sack by the Midwest Titans DL. Starting QB David Jones for the Panthers drop back to pass and was Intercepted by DB Brandon Henderson and he return it 90 yards for a Titans TD with no time left on the clock. Wow, this brought the largest crowd that had attended a Midwest Titans game this year to their feet.  The Titans defeated the KC Panthers 24-13 in their final regular season game of the 2010.
